No one is talking about how the leading AGI shills subscribe to an insane secular religion that doesn’t give a shit about problems happening in the real world because supposedly it’s more pressing to create AGI that will “improve the lives” of trillions of “digital posthumans.”

The more I learn about this, the more disturbed I become, but alas, I cannot unlearn this.

Pros of being articulate:

• being able to express yourself precisely feels powerful
• people will think you’re smart

Cons of being articulate:

• people will expect you to know things
• people will think you’re smart

Can we please stop referring to people as being “technical” or “non-technical”?

What the hell does that language even mean?

Is a “technical person” a “holder of technical skills” or are we using this to mean “has domain expertise in applied work involving computer systems”?

These are some things I’ve learned, or at the very least thought about, over the last few years. Hopefully some of these ideas are useful to you as well.
